If you are reading this then you already know the first way to access the blog’s content. Through the webpage. The other two are RSS, Twitter and Newsletters.
- RSS: maybe one of the most popular mediums for content distribution. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. RSS works by creating a feed from any given webpage or blog. As soon as new entries are posted, your RSS reader will do the work for you by aggregating the content to your reading list. Almost every internet browser has the capability to easily subscribe to RSS feeds and read the content without leaving the browser window. Personally I prefer to use Google Reader to access my feeds. It’s simple to use and pretty smart. It suggests content based on your reading preferences. Safari’s RSS feature is also very easy to use and has a clean and clutter free interface. You can subscribe to the blog’s feed by clicking on the “Entries” link in the upper right corner of the sidebar or choose your preferred RSS reader from the Subscribe button also located on the sidebar.
- Newsletters: probably not the quickest way to get updates. Newsletters are sent only once or twice a months (to avoid spamming your inbox or already spammed junk folder) with a selection of posts. You can also subscribe by entering your email on the sidebar, just below the RSS subscription button.
- Twitter: blog updates are posted on your timeline as soon as they are published here. Whether you are at home or on the move with your smartphone or laptop you’ll get real time updates in 140 characters. Great when you are short on time but still need an information fix. Here’s the link to my stream. Updates on Twitter doesn’t limit to this blog. I also re-tweet useful or informative tweets from other folks.
- Thank you all for reading the blog every day or stopping by every now and then!
