Scientists have discovered how memories are encoded in the brain

The finding, published in the December 24 issue of the journal Neuron, could eventually lead to the development of new drugs to aid memory.

Previous studies have proven that  synapses cement memories into place. What was recently discovered is how those  synapses are strengthened and the role that proteins have in the process. Follow the link to the original article here.
